Description
Product introduction:
FEP Encapsulated O-Rings,It combines the elasticity and sealing properties of rubber with the chemical resistance of Teflon. It is composed of silicone rubber or fluorine rubber inside and Teflon FEP or Teflon PFA with relatively thin outer coating. This rubber combined with Teflon o-ring will have excellent sealing properties.
General rubber o-ring (O-RING) is relatively easy to wear, chemical corrosion resistance and poor gas penetration resistance (except for perfluorinated elastomers), pure Teflon O-ring hardness is higher and can resist compression but poor elasticity. Teflon FEP/Teflon PFA ORING has good resistance to solvent growth and chemical stability (unless exposed to metal, fluorine and some halides at high temperatures), and has good elasticity near the rubber part of the o-ring. Teflon FEP/ Teflon PFA has a very small coefficient of friction (only 0.1 to 0.2) and excellent gas permeability resistance, which makes the coated o-ring truly suitable for use in harsh environments.
The combination of the compact, uniform and jointless Teflon FEP/Teflon PFA outer coating with the rubber inner enables the o-ring to maintain a consistent seal as a whole, uniform elastic and compressive strain at all points on the o-ring, and can be reused under continuous pressure. As the pressure of the medium increases, the o-ring is compressed as a whole, and the coated O-RING is like a liquid with high viscosity, transferring the pressure acting on it to all directions without reducing.
The presence of the Teflon FEP outer coating makes the coated o-ring have good hardening resistance and brittleness resistance, while the inner core made of silicone rubber or fluorine rubber makes the sealing ring maintain good elasticity at high temperatures of 200℃.
The test results of FFKM rubber, FKM rubber and FEP/PFA coated o-ring in the compression device indicate that, The coated o-ring, which combines the physical properties of silicone rubber or fluororubber with the chemical properties of Teflon FEP/ Teflon PFA, maintains the properties of rubber while providing good compressibility resistance.
The manufacture of the coated o-ring requires strict quality control through the use of a special technology that makes the Teflon FEP polymer completely encrusted with a rubber inner core and ensures that the o-ring has the required standard tolerances. The data used demonstrates our commitment to the quality of our coated o-ring products, which is based on performance testing and strict quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and safe use of this product. The coated o-ring and any other rubber or pure Teflon o-ring in one respect, has unparalleled sealing and long life, especially in harsh media.
Encapsulated material
Teflon FEP and Teflon PFA are essentially similar, but Teflon PFA has better temperature resistance than Teflon FEP.
